2.3. Building the EMBASSY Packages

This comprises the following steps:

  1. Configuring

  2. Compilation

  3. Installation

  4. Post-installation

It goes without saying that your system must have a C compiler installed before attempting to build the EMBASSY packages. This will undoubtedly be the case as you will have built EMBOSS before reading this far. See Section 1.2, “Building EMBOSS” if not.
